Core Technology Areas

EATRIS has built its consortia around five core technology areas (called Product Groups)

Each product group is composed of several centres with the necessary expertise and cutting edge infrastructure and services.

These product groups were selected on the basis of discussions with prospective users of translational research infrastructures (academia, SMEs and large biotech/pharma companies), who indicated that there is sufficient demand, and sufficient expertise (albeit fragmented and not readily accessible) to match that demand, in Europe. Furthermore, the output of theses areas of activity can contribute significantly to the needs of the healthcare sector and society.
